LOR Firmware
Light-O-Rama controllers might just look like a bunch of hardware connected up to a computer telling them what to do. However, those controllers actually have some computer code on them. That code is the LOR Firmware, which is the software on the controllers needed for them to function correctly.
Generally speaking if your controllers are working as you would expect, no one from Light-O-Rama support has told you to upgrade your firmware, then do NOT attempt to so. While the LOR Firmware update is pretty easy, and fairly error proof, things can happen, and your board you be ‘bricked’ or in other words, not usable as a controller anymore.
All firmware updates are done via the Hardware Utility. It is considered best practice to connect only the device being upgraded to the HWU. Do NOT attempt Firmware updates via a wireless connection.
